Privacy Policy

The short version: we can't see your files, because they never leave your device.

What stays on your device

Everything. Folder scanning runs locally in your browser via the File System Access API. File contents are read into memory only to compute sizes and are never transmitted. There is no server-side copy of your scan, because no scan data leaves your browser unless you explicitly click "Get AI cleanup plan".

What the optional AI plan sends

If you request an AI cleanup plan, we send: total sizes and file counts, category totals, and at most 60 entries of file names (last two path segments), sizes in KB, and age in days. No file contents, no full paths, no metadata beyond that. This is stated on the button you press and in the plan's output footer.

Analytics & cookies

We serve static pages with no analytics cookies. Aggregated, cookieless CDN-level request counting may apply. Third-party AI providers (only if AI is enabled) process the minimal metadata described above under their own data policies, linked at request time.

Deletion

If you use in-browser deletion, files are removed permanently (browsers provide no Trash). All deletion requires two explicit confirmations. Prefer safety? Export a cleanup script and review every line before running it.
