About DiskLens

A disk space analyzer that respects you: no install, no account, no uploads, no dark patterns.

DiskLens started from a simple annoyance: every "what is taking up space on my Mac" search ends in either a $40/year subscription or a 2011-era utility. We believe seeing your own disk usage is a right, not a subscription — and that a modern browser is powerful enough to do it locally, with zero privacy trade-off.

The analyzer uses the File System Access API to walk the folder you grant, classifies every file (regenerable junk vs. back-up-first material), renders a treemap, and flags duplicate candidates. The optional AI plan sends file names, sizes and dates — never contents — to generate a plain-English cleanup plan. During the public beta everything is free.

Roadmap: content-hash duplicate verification, photo-library-aware scanning, and one-time Pro unlock ($9.90) for batch operations and unlimited AI plans. No subscriptions, ever.
